Today was a little on the hotter side, so I decided to throw my hair up in my go-to braids. Looking like a basic white girl with my double chocolate chip Starbucks frappe in hand, my best friend and I had a wonderful afternoon. When its super hot outside, a crop top is a must! Pair it with a nicer skirt and Keds for a look thats equal parts casual and cute!

Yesterday evening I went to see one of my friend's plays, which was amazing per usual.  She and I will both be in NYC in the fall, and I can't wait to see more of her lovely acting! I decided to go with this thrifted BCBG dress, as it's breezy and perfect for an evening out. I love matching my outfit to my purse for a bit more monochromatic look, and who doesn't love a good navy? I also matched the slight trim of brown leather on my cross body to my wedges, which added a bit more pizzazz. Though not shown well, I'm wearing one of my favorite cuff bracelets, which I found for $1 at a thrift store!

This skirt is quite possibly my favorite piece in my wardrobe. Though I can't wear it that often, any clothing that makes me feel like I'm 5 again is a score in my book. In order to tone down the girlyness a bit, I decided to go with a chambray shirt, but made it fun with this awesome bubble necklace.

Yay for the fourth of July! Even though I had to take these pictures yesterday due to the miserable weather today, here's my simple red white & blue outfit for the holiday. I went to a town parade this morning, which is why I went for the shorts and small purse--easier to tote around while lunging for candy! (Just kidding....kinda)
